I started my career as a tattoo artist in the early 2000s. After moving to North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, in 2014, I worked in tattoo shops in Brazil, Spain and Sweden. From the beginning, I have immersed in assimilating the techniques and aesthetic characteristics of traditional tattoo styles, with a special focus on classic American and Japanese tattoos. Holding a background in Industrial Design (Visual Programming) from the University of Brasília in 2008, my art challenges conventions and incorporates graphic and thematic elements uncommon in the world of tattooing, bringing unique features to my works in various techniques. My graphical signature is not limited to the mastery of a single technique or style; it manifests in my ability to convey my personality in each piece.
So basically, I can base my influences on three distinct groups: National Art, International Art, and Non-Classical Art. In the realm of National Art, my influences range from the modernist architecture of Oscar Niemeyer, which shaped Brasília, to the tile art of Athos Bulcão, the modernist painting of Tarsila do Amaral, and the artistic richness of Brazilian Cordel literature. Figures like Pablo Picasso, Keith Haring, Hokusai, and the Bauhaus production have also left an indelible mark on my work. Finally, elements of pop culture, such as LP covers, music videos, cartoons, manga, comic books, anime, tattoos, and graffiti.
