Atelier Veneno is an independent tattoo studio and art space in Bonn, founded in 2024 and run by tattoo artist and artist Rodrigo Botero.
More than a place to get tattooed, Atelier Veneno was conceived as a space where different forms of artistic and cultural production and expression can meet. Tattooing, drawing, painting, printmaking, printing, and publishing coexist within the same environment, creating a broader relationship between work on the body and artistic production.
The name Veneno represents the idea of something that enters the body and provokes a reaction. An image, an idea, a piece of music, or an experience can work in the same way: remaining in the body and changing the way we perceive the world.
The studio maintains a close relationship with alternative and independent cultures, valuing artistic autonomy, experimentation, and the circulation of ideas outside traditional models of cultural production.
Here, tattooing is not treated simply as a service. It is drawing, technique, conversation, process, and experience. Each project begins with a relationship between people and ends as something that becomes part of an individual story.
Atelier Veneno is therefore both a workspace and a platform for developing, presenting, and sharing different artistic projects.
